Just love when I have new stamping supplies to play with. What I really love is that I know how well my new Stampin’ Up! supplies will coordinate with my older stamping supplies. This card sample I’ve made is a good example of that.
I’m not a big Washi Tape user but after a search on Pinterest (check out my Pinterest page) I found a cute way to add some colour blocking to a card front. It’s also the first time I’ve ever used the Whisper White Extra Thick Card Stock. I cut it 21 x 14cm and scored in half leaving me with a card front measuring 10.5 x 14cm. I applied the Rich Razzelberry Washing Tape from the Bohemian Designer Washi Tape to the top and bottom of the card front.
Cut a piece from the Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper 13 x 10.5cm and brush it over with a Embossing Buddy to remove any static. Ink Up the ‘Just For You’ sentiment from the Botanical For You stamp set with Versamark. Sprinkle over with Silver Embossing Powder and set with Heat Tool.
I then used my Project Life Journalling Pen to highlight around the embossing to create a shadow around the sentiment to break it away from the busy pattern. I then cut a strip of Vellum 3 x 10.5cm stamped the ‘…on your special day’ using Basic Black archival Ink.
Adhere the DSP to the front of the card base using SNAIL. I then secured the vellum to the bottom of the DSP using a Glue Dot on the furthermost left hand side and cover it a by adhering a Botanical Gardens Jewel with another glue dot.
