Card Class – Thinking of You at Christmas

I like working with metallic colours and wanted a simple layout that would shine (excuse the pun) and make the ornament the focal point. I hate wasting paper and will do what ever I can to stretch my stash as far as I can so I have included a little tip for you. The Silver Foil Sheet in some pictures appears Gold and has some glares so I apologise up front about that.

Instructions are as follows:

Card stock measurements are Night of Navy cut at 27.9 x 10.5cm scored in half to make card base. Whisper White cut at 9.5 x 9.5cm, Vellum cut at 9.5 x 9.5cm and Silver Foil Sheet cut at 10 x 10cm.

Rub Embossing Buddy over Silver Foil to remove static, ink up Ornament stamp with Versa Mark and heat emboss with Sliver Embossing Powder .

Place the Magnetic Platform onto the Big Shot, then first cutting plate, Silver Foil Sheet, then coordinating Delicates Ornaments Framelits taking care to make sure it is centered well (unlike mine) and lastly the top cutting plate. **TIP ALERT**I also put the small ornament piece next to it and be sure to keep away from the edges as I’ll  also be using the negative space to matt the vellum.

Stamp sentiment from the Embellished Ornament to lower left of the card base using Versa Mark and Silver Embossing Powder. Using Fast Fuse adhere the negative piece of Silver Foil Sheet to the top of card front and center with even boarders left, right and top.

Adhere the Vellum to the Whisper White Card Stock with the Fast Fuse by placing a couple of small spots in the center. The Whisper White will serve two purposes. Firstly to hide the cutout on the Silver Foil Sheet and secondly to back the Vellum paper.  This adhesive will be hidden under the ornament when adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used 3 Rhinestone basic Jewels in the center of the flowers and lastly add the White 3/8″ Glitter Ribbon by wrapping it around the card front and tying a knot.image
